All donations will go towards community improvement projects, events, and general operating expenses.

Volunteer Opportunities

Check out some options below for volunteer activities that are always helpful around our neighborhood!

Keep an eye out in our newsletters for any one shot volunteer opportunities (e.g. running events, helping spread the word, community development goals, etc.)

  • Help us pick up trash in our parks and shared spaces! These spaces include Mighty Park, Lower Gwynns Falls Park, Gwynns Falls Trail, as well as any neighborhood roads and throughways.

    This activity helps keep our neighborhood looking beautiful for everyone! Please contact us if you would like access to trash bags, gloves, or trash picker-uppers at info@gfcabaltimore.org.

  • This activity is a great one for those with gardening experience! Check out our garden page for more guidelines.

    These tasks could include weeding, watering, and compost maintenance.

  • Mighty Park has a couple different maintenance tasks, let us know at info@gfcabaltimore.org if you would like to help out!

    These tasks could include mowing the grass, weed wacking, raking the wood chips in the playground, and general beautification projects.

  • Our community has a regular dumpster usually placed in front of Mighty Park once every 3 months for a couple hours on the weekend.

    It would be a huge help to have a small team helping neighbors dispose of large household trash items (e.g. furniture, mattresses, bulk trash, etc.)
